Call to Action!

Subscribe to Our Free NewsletterCall to action buttons are graphics or animations on your web page that direct your visitors to a specific activity. “Buy Now,” “Start Your Free Trial,” “Get an Instant Quote,” “Sign Up for Our Free Newsletter,” “Watch the Video” and “Take the Tour” are all examples of commonly used call to action buttons. In order to create effective and attractive call to action buttons, you’ll need to consider the design of your buttons, their placement, and the purposes of the buttons themselves.   The meaning of the button should be self explanatory.  If you need a caption to explain the purpose, redesign it.

Good buttons should be easily spotted by every visitor on your site and be placed above the fold.  If they don’t stand out, there’s either an issue with the graphic or your site layout.

Good call to action buttons don’t detract from the rest of your page or content.  They should be tools that allow your visitors to take an immediate action but not prevent them from understanding your site’s main content.
